CHURCHABLE trainer Steve Scott was pulling his hair out a few months ago trying to get Farmor In Time back to her best.

The daughter of Above All-Farmor Karma had shown ability when she first started racing but a form slump in October had Scott troubled.

“I honestly could not work out what was wrong with her,” said Steve.
“So I started slipping her post to post and each time she was breaking 12 seconds in her come home times.

“So I tossed her up in distance to 520 metres.”

It was the recipe for success.

“She won a mid-week Albion Park race in 30.14 and hasn’t stopped since.”

Last Thursday night the bitch ran 30.09 to win a 520m 5th Grade beating Del Ray and Steve’s Jewel as the raging hot $1.60 favourite.

“She is proving to be as strong as,” said Scott. “Eventually she will go up to 600 metres but not while she is racing so well over 500 metres.

“She could soon even head to Wentworth Park for a race or two.”

The bitch was one of two winners from the Scott kennel on the night, the other being Scott Duffy’s smart Iconic Beach.

“Landing winning doubles is all about teamwork at home and that’s what we have, a wonderful team helping us get everything done and done right,” said Steve.

“My partner Kelly is the backbone of the entire operation … make sure you say that.”

Scott is in the process of sending Farmor In Time’s litter brother Farmor Above to Victoria to Robbie Britton in a hope to find a solution to a shoulder problem the dog developed in a fall at Maitland some time ago.

“This is a Group dog if we can get him right,” said Steve.
