LEADING trainer Dave Irwin and owner Steve Barton combined for victory in Friday afternoon’s Don Waldron Anniversary Trophy (484m) at Casino, with Cry Later leading all-the-way in the $5,000 to-the-winner feature.

Landing his 15th race win at career start 50, the much travelled son of Magic Sprite made every post a winner in the Anniversary event recognising northern rivers greyhound racing icon Don Waldron, who attended Friday’s race meeting to present the trophy at 92 years young.

Cry Later took out Friday’s feature in a slick 27.36, defeating Neeky’s Way by 1 ¾ lengths, with Go Lassie Go filling third for Darren Russell a further two lengths astern.
