Big Things Beckon For ‘Fab' Litter

ONLY Seconds' Zoom Top Maiden Consolation victory at Goulburn on Tuesday afternoon continued the outstanding run of success being enjoyed by Peter Spiteri's September '16 My Bro Fabio x Amyjo litter, the seven pups to hit the track in the money at 40 of their 51 starts to date.

Winner of the $2,000 to-the-victor 440m consolation on Tuesday in a tidy 25.39, Only Seconds was joined in the winners list at the meeting by litter-brother My Bro Kade, successful for trainer Jodie Lord in the third event posting a slick 24.94, taking his winning record to five wins from the 11 appearances.

Lord also rugged up another from the litter, Double Tax, in the feature event of the day the Zoom Top Maiden Final, finishing fifth in the $10,000 to-the-winner affair behind Tell Nobody, after winning his heat impressively on debut a week earlier in a fast 25.01.

And whilst each of the litter is doing fantastic things, it's perhaps the Jodie and Peter Lagogiane-trained bitch Amy Laura that's showing the most promise, winner at four of her six career starts at Richmond in breathtaking fashion, including a powerhouse 30.73 triumph on Friday night in the $3,900 to-the-winner Ladbrokes Red Dog Final (535m).

Dam Amyjo (Collision x Neat Irish), a winner of seven races during her career, is a litter-sister to Peter Spiteri's grand group 1 winning galloper Let It Develop, which along with the remaining eight from the litter was responsible for 106 race victories and prizemoney upwards of $400,000.

The successful winning line certainly looks to have resonated with this My Bro Fabio litter with aplomb which look to have very bright futures ahead as they work their way through the grades.
