SUPERSTAR bitch Peco Can looks all but over the line in this Thursday's Big Moose Laurels Final (461m) at Hobart after a scintillating win in her heat – making it a spectacular seven from seven at the track and distance.

Trained by Robin Grubb, Peco Can ($1.16) was flawlessly intro stride from box four in her heat, recording a scorching 5.01 first section split in the charge towards the top turn.

Once high-balling out in front it was simply a case of times and margins, with the daughter of Fernando Bale and Sing The Song stretching out to score by 4 ¾ lengths over Sacred Shadow and Magic Vogue in a sensational time of 25.58.

The slick time recorded is four one-hundredths outside her near-record personal best of 25.55.

A winner of the Young Star Classic at her last outing over Hobart's 461-mertre trip back in August, Peco Can has now won 12 of her 14 career starts.

"She's matured into a fantastic chaser," Robin Grubb said of Peco Can.

Chasing her fourth classic title, Peco Can will meet a talented Laurels line-up, where the first qualifier was Muppet for Patrick Pearce in 25.98.

The daughter of Nolen and Limbo Maid held out the Grubb-trained Hello Rhonda by three lengths.

"Muppet has been a handy bitch for the Pearce family, Hello Rhonda is running out of her skin, especially when finishing a great second to Buckle Up Axon in the Devonport Breeders Classic," Robin added.

While it's a good final field, Peco Can remains the jewel in the crown, with a tilt at the Group 1 Hobart Thousand well and truly on the cards.

"Her main goal is the Hobart Thousand which is only eight weeks away and her timing and preparation couldn't be any better," Grubb said.

Peco Can is expected to start favourite in the Laurels decider, the next best in market at double figure odds is the Debbie Cannan-trained Headspace at $10.

"I don't mind box four at all with Headspace (three) and Shanlyn Bubbles (five) both fair beginners – Peco Can does have that x-factor against her rivals," told Robin.

Peco Can will look to emulate the deeds of her dam Sing The Song who claimed the Laurels trophy back in 2013, with Grubb producing the quinella that year with Roxy Rhythm.

Robin will be eyeing a feature race double with his Fernando Bale x Sing The Song litter on Thursday when Hello Lenny lines up from box eight in the M A Morgan St. Leger.

Middle Distance Championship winner Whoomph is the $2.60 favourite from box three, dropping back in trip following a sensational victory at Launceston on Monday running a red-hot 29.68.
