TASSIE-bred stars Vrontios (box six) and Bobby Bound (box seven) renew rivalries in yet another feature final, this time in Thursday's Crocmedia Tasmanian Distance Championship Final over 720 metres at Launceston.

In what is to be a champagne night of greyhound racing Australia wide, the two powerhouse stayers face off in the decider. The last time they met prior to this series, Vrontios took out the Sky Racing Distance Championship.

Bred and trained by Kevin McConnon at West Moonah, the son of Lochinvar Marlow and Tiu Jet will be out to continue his winning form after taking out his heat last Thursday by 7 ¾ lengths over Wynburn Lucifer and Bobby Bound running on strongly for third.

Bobby Bound, from the kennels of Risdon Vale trainer Robin Stocks, has peaked in sizzling form over recent weeks taking out the Greg Fahey Middle Distance Championship – Chinatown Lad Distance double, and boasts a record of 23 wins from 104 starts.

The final winner books a spot in the National Distance Grand Final at Sandown Park in a fortnight.
