TUESDAY’S Zoom Top Maiden Final (440m) at Goulburn produced a thrilling finish with a powerhouse performance by exciting talent Tell Nobody, prevailing in the last hop over a gallant Patient Vixen to scoop the rich $10,000 first prize.

Heading into Tuesday’s finale on the strength of his 11 ¼ length 25.07 heat romp, the Alan Pringle-trained son of import Lonesome Cry and Enlightment rubber-stamped his standing as a chaser with huge potential with the thrilling 25.27 victory in an event quickly establishing itself as one of the most sought after maidens in NSW.

In a race that showcased some of the best youngsters currently plying their trade in NSW, it was the Jodie Lord-trained Patient Vixen that made all the running early from box one, despite starting the rank outsider at odds upwards of 30/1.

Going within a head of delivering connections back-to-back Zoom Top Finals – after winning last year’s staging with Rooster Bush – Patient Vixen is another galloper with a very bright future, with the form out of the final sure to stand up in the coming months.
