Introduction
Ladbrokes is the grand dame of British bookmakers. It was founded in 1886 as a commissioning agent for horses trained at Ladbroke Hall in Warwickshire and evolved into a leading chain of betting shops, with a thriving online presence. Due to this background in horse racing, the thoroughbreds appear the primary focus for Ladbrokes but it doesn’t take long to find a quality array of greyhound markets.
The company launched Ladbrokes Australia in 2013 (licensed in the Northern Territory) by Aussie tech entrepreneur Dean Shannon, so they’re a relative newcomer to the market over here but are backed by a wealth of global experience. To this day, Ladbrokes runs over 2400 retail shops across the UK and Ireland, and have over one million customers, making them on of the largest bookmakers in the UK.
In 2016, Ladbrokes completed a deal to purchase rival operator Coral and form Britain’s biggest bookmaker, with more than 3,500 stores and 30,000 employees. In December 2017, GVC Holdings purchased Ladbrokes Coral in a deal that could be worth up to £4 billion ($7.4 billion).

Ladbrokes Review Part 1
Ladbrokes offer a great deal of Australian racing and sport markets, as well as offering international racing and sport markets for those interested. Their international markets seem to lack a bit of depth somewhat compared to some competitor bookies. Genuine value can definitely be found browsing Ladbrokes’ racing prices, but keep in mind that generally their odds are posted slower than many other bookmakers.
Additionally, they also constantly update their quality specials and ‘Ladbrokes promotions’ for punters who are searching for value. The promotions are generally geared towards horse racing, where fantastic deals can be found, but they do still provide weekly sports promotions and greyhound ones as well.
Make no mistake, Ladbrokes are innovators in regards to features. Ladbrokes have led the way over the years, releasing numerous innovative products. The best example is their Ladbrokes Visa Card which allows customers to withdraw cash from any ATM throughout the country immediately after a bet has resulted. Another notable release is ‘Cash In’, a feature that allows customers to deposit cash into their account through selected newsagents.
Overall, we found Ladbrokes is a quality bookmaker for punters to get one board with. Keep reading below to uncover the specifics of our Ladbrokes review.
Ladbrokes Offers Review
Ladbrokes provides their customers with some simply fantastic Ladbrokes racing offers and promotions. These promotions are often updated daily and Ladbrokes are always looking to change their offers available to Greyhound Recorder users. These offers are not just limited to things like the Spring Racing Carnival either as Ladbrokes takes great pride in leading the way in innovative specials and offers all year and on all sports, racing and greyhound racing.
Though the use of Ladbrokes bonus bets for sign up bonuses may now be a thing of the past, punters are given a more unique and exciting betting experience. Because of recent gambling reforms, there is a limit on the type of Ladbrokes bonuses that can be offered to customers. But the good news is Ladbrokes has so many great products there’s always a feature to explore. That’s why they’re so big right around the world!
Ladbrokes often advertise promotions on their website similar to the following example: ‘If your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd in races 1-4 at Caulfield, Rosehill and/ or Doomben on Saturday you’ll be refunded your stake as Ladbrokes bonus bets up to $50! Or if your horse wins, you’ll have your winnings doubled’. This is just one example of many different similar offers, these types of promotions change frequently as there is constant racing across multiple locations every week..
Other Ladbrokes special offers include pick your own odds and favourite vs the field. Ladbrokes also provides punters with plenty of useful information to use when placing a bet. And, if that isn’t enough, if you head along to the Labrokes YouTube channel you’ll find lots more information like previews for races and different sports as well as tips.

Ladbrokes Website Review
The Ladbrokes website certainly delivers the goods, delivering a highly functional and fun user experience.
In any Ladbrokes website review we have to mention the speed of the site – the Ladbrokes new website is super-fast and one of the more responsive we’ve come across. It’s the highlight of the Ladbrokes online betting experience – everything happens in the blink of an eye.
The Ladbrokes racing homepage is no exception – it’s dead simple and very quick to get to any race for that day, be it thoroughbreds, greyhounds or harness racing.
The main menu is broken up into four sections of the market: ‘Racing’, ‘Sports’, ‘Novelty’, ‘Promotions’. This system is very easy to navigate, especially for finding racing meetings as the layout allows quick access to each race on any given racing card.
‘Quickbet’ is a neat function on the website which esnnetially acts as ‘betslip-skipping’ feature. It allows punters to swiftly bet a preset amount with just three mouse clicks.
Ladbrokes have a useful blog that offers tips, predictions, shows and previews. Their blog content and shows are entertaining, concise and informative,
Another great content avenue of Ladbrokes is their social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in which they are pretty active.
Ladbrokes Mobile App Review
The Ladbrokes Australia app will be a fairly familiar piece of equipment for any punter who’s had a Ladbrokes account. It’s a good tool for punters on the go – and that starts with when you open it, as the app keeps you logged in in the background, saving you the need to continually enter your Ladbrokes app credentials.
Upon entry to the Ladbrokes mobile app you’re greeted with quick links to upcoming race and events. Another handy feature on this screen is a scrolling banner featuring current Ladbrokes specials and offers – so you can
quickly see what’s on the menu on any particular day.
The footer menu of the Ladbrokes betting app is ever-present, giving you quick access to the main areas of the app, depending what you want to bet on.
The Ladbrokes app is available for download for both iOS and Android. Click here to download either version.

WIN | The most popular of all bet types, requiring punters to select the dog they think will finish 1st in the race. |

Ladbrokes Review Round up
Overall, Ladbrokes deserves its status as one of the leading betting sites on the market. It is a solid, trustworthy operator offering wide market coverage and a huge range of betting options, tempting promotions. Their odds are usually more than competitive, despite not always being posted early. If you’re the patient type, this shouldn’t be an issue!
One can easily assume that the Ladbrokes app designers have a bet! This is because the mobile app provides one of the best wagering experiences in the country thanks to a fantastic betting product and really slick user interface across their desktop, tablet and mobile offerings
You can bet on all manner of races, plus a number of sports from around the world.
Granted, Ladbrokes Australia perhaps don’t offer as many sports betting options as some of the other bookies on the Australian wagering scene, but they certainly excel when betting on Australian horse racing. Their promotions are often great, but again, they often focus on horse racing more than other sports. Another overlooked strength of Ladbrokes as a bookie is that they pay out customers on winning bets very quickly.
In conclusion, Ladbrokes is a bookmaker that has several clear points of difference from their rivals and here at Punters, we highly recommend them, so prospective punters need to look no further than Ladbrokes.
