It's almost a given that ZAZU (trap 3) will collect a medal of some colour from this contest and his supporters will be hopeful of the gold. It was good to see Flower Power (trap 1) on the winner's podium recently and she is a big player. Glenadda Lily (trap 2) isn't one to trust the housekeeping on, but she has a part to play.

There's nothing straightforward about this contest but EILEENS FLASH (trap 4) may just have a fitness edge over her rivals. Chatelaine (trap 6) would have claims if able to press on early.

HEADFORD GENT (trap 2) ticks most of the boxes and he can be heading the formation passing the judge when it matters if he gets the run of the contest. Catunda Buzz (trap 1) has had the bookies running for cover before and this represents a solid chance. It could be onwards and upwards for ex-season Minglers Sassy (trap 5).

The winning run of ROBBIES KING (trap 3) sets the standard in this contest and he is the one they have to beat. The recovery of Salems Blues (trap 1) following season is gathering pace and she's a threat. Estefans Tune (trap 5) is a contender of sorts now she has less to do.

BALLYROE RUBY (trap 2) looks a backable proposition in this company and she is fancied to get the job done come hell or high water. It's pleasing to see Daires Sydney (trap 6) in a winning mood and she has to be a serious contender. Alberta Jamie (trap 3) could benefit from the class drop and makes place appeal.

The price of GLASMEEN TINA (trap 1) is expected to be an accurate reflection of her chances and there shouldn't be too many obstacles in her way. Peggys Robin (trap 2) looks to have fair claims and shouldn't be far away at the close of play. Lemming Chance (trap 6) holds a chance of sorts and it could be enhanced at trap-rise.

CLASSIC EMMA (trap 3) looks to have a big part to play in this contest and can give these the runaround if enjoying a hassle-free run. Ballykevin Dream (trap 5) is an above-average performer in this grade, who should run another solid race. Will it be all systems go for Reaper (trap 6) from the start? It needs to be if he is to figure.

Expectations will be low about any rich pickings surrounding CHEETARA (trap 4), but expectations of a huge run on the track will be high here. HAWKFIELD KARMA (trap 4) is marching towards her post season peak and may well tower above these with an element of good fortune in running. ESSJAY MAURICE (trap 6) is flushed with pride after his recent win and he can display the motivation required to put these to the sword. Assultan (trap 2) can brag about a recent win and with any improvement he would surely rate a danger. Millview Blondie (trap 1) has the ability to be competitive and can figure in the finish.

The cv of DONEGAL CIAN (trap 5) stands up to the closest scrutiny in this contest and it'll be disappointing if he doesn't make a decent contribution. Sundance Sasha (trap 2) should find this easier but claiming the selection's scalp will not be straightforward. Recent winner Allanit (trap 3) knows the score and shouldn't be underestimated.

VEGAS RAIDER (trap 5) is running his cotton socks off and more of the same can be fully expected today. Shemozzle (trap 6) should be in the thick of things at the line and is afforded plenty of respect. Direct Russian (trap 3) needs some luck through the early stages.

While accepting KNOCKGLASS BEST (trap 1) will need her fair share of good fortune, she still rates the most likely winner and is given the nod.
