This can be whittled down to a few, with the vote ultimately going the way of IRELANDS EYE (trap 1) as he can be bossing things when it matters. Airmount Sky (trap 3) has little margin for error but can keep the selection honest throughout.

Punters swarm round Ropewalk Bob (trap 4) like bees around honey, but they may come unstuck.

Killeshil Messi (trap 5) doesn't give up the ghost and is a contender especially if getting first run on the pick. Rathmoyle Gerry (trap 6) appeals from the rest, with the others likely to come up a fair bit short.

PHOENIX TYSON (trap 5) looks a snip and can be confidently expected to put these rivals in the shade providing he doesn't get tangled up initially. Bellagio (trap 1) is still becoming familiarised with the track.

RAZLDAZL MYWAY (trap 2) is well worth an interest to get the job done against these rivals. Providing he remains trouble-free in the race, he should do the business.

OLD TRICKS (trap 1) isn't one that the bookmakers go out to lay and they are likely to adopt a cautions approach for what is a winning opportunity. Surprise Reunion (trap 2) may still be on a learning curve round here but is afforded serious respect. Monodie Mike (trap 3) must avoid forming the meat in the sandwich early.

Cramped odds are expected on KAPUKA WARRIOR (trap 3) such is the chance he holds and he can have this contest in safe keeping on the run for home. Brockagh Justine (trap 4) has ability and warrants serious consideration and respect with only the tip to beat. Gracebridge Star (trap 1) would be a runner if retaining possession of the rails.

One thing that can be relied upon is that BALLYMAC DEBOSS (trap 1) won't go shirking the issue and he is likely to come out on top with a degree of good luck. Castleivy Ginge (trap 2) is a danger but avoiding red at the corner is going to be key to her chances. Hanks Choice (trap 6) should be there or thereabouts if running up to his best mark.

CHEQUE FOR SIR (trap 4) may have a trick or two up his sleeve and he could hold all the aces when push comes to shove late on. Deelish Nora (trap 1) will be launching a medal challenge, but may have to be satisfied with silver. Air Flyer (trap 3) showed guts to oblige last time and is a player on that effort.
