At Sea On Lookout For Perfect 10 To Start Career

GLEN Boody is the first to admit his unbeaten At Sea is a “handy dog” but if you look at his race record many would believe he is much more than that.

The son of Zambora Brockie and Brittany Talks won a 331m 5th Grade heat at Albion Park on Sunday to take his record to nine starts for nine wins.

“He's a handy dog,” said Glen. “I suppose I have placed him well.

“But, not too many win nine out of nine.”

FIELDS AND FORM ALBION PARK WEDNESDAY

Those wins have come at Capalaba and Albion Park winning a Novice there back in December in 30.48 but then switched back to sprints by Glen.

“I bred him,” said Glen.

“His mother was owned by Len Antonio and when I bought her she had raced 19 times for one win. I got her for $500 and she won 500, 600 and 700 metres at Albion Park on a Thursday night.”

At Sea will be chasing 10/10 at Albion Park on Monday

Brittany Talks (Don't Knocka Him-Paint) had a 90-start career wining seven and being placed 14 times and earned Glen almost $30,000.

“This is her first litter, and she has another by Out Of Range,” said Glen.

“Unfortunately, I lost her recently to bone cancer.”

At Sea will back up on Wednesday in a 395m 5th Grade final for which he qualified last week.

And then he will run again next Sunday in the 331m 5th Grade final.

“I suppose after those couple of runs he can go back to Albion Park for a Thursday night 520 metre race,” said Glen.

At Sea is from a smart litter which also includes Serge Livotto's Cool Hand Steve, a multiple city winner.

“I kept four bitches as well as At Sea and there is one among them who will make it as well,” said Glen.

“At Sea has won in 30.48 at Albion Park and I'm certain he can go quicker than that.”
