IT’S an early start to Sandown Park again this Thursday for what is an interesting 12-race card.

We’ve found a couple of well boxed runners on the program which we expect to figure while we’ve also found a couple at value that can give backers a sight.

SANDOWN PARK FIELDS & FORM

Best Bets

Race 4 Number 5 ASTON CADE

Not the dog he once was but if he’s going to return to the winners list I suspect this is it. Plummets back to fifth grade company and can handle middle draws. Boasts a 29.19 Sandown PB but fair to say 29.60 will pull him up these days but I suspect something around that wins this.

Race 5 Number 2 ASTON ORIENTAL

Scored at the track and distance on Sunday in slow time but the merit of the win was outstanding. Had to do it the hard way and from the better draw today if she finds her better box manners will prove awfully hard to beat. Lot to like about Sunday’s gutsy performance.

Race 9 Number 1 USMAN BALE

Odds-on but from the red alley looks the bet of the card. Reckon he’ll be a greyhound we are talking about in much better races in a few months time. Scored at The Meadows from the inside last start in 30.13 and can crack it for his first Sandown win at attempt six here.

Best Value

Race 11 Number 3 YAHOO SERIOUS

Has ability – just need to see him unlock it. Didn’t have a lot of luck when third off box eight here on Sunday and this race maps well from the better draw. Quite a few chances so betting is open – at around the $7 in early betting represents good each-way value.
