Mepunga Tully Installed Perth Cup Favourite
MEPUNGA Tully has been installed as the favourite for Saturday’s Group 1 Perth Cup (520m) at Cannington following the box draw.

MEPUNGA Tully has been installed the $2.70 favourite for Saturday night's Group 1 Perth Cup (520m) at Cannington following the box draw.
The Jeff Britton-trained chaser was an impressive heat winner in 29.48 and will jump from box two in the trophy decider.
"She's a proven greyhound and she's come over in great form," said Jeff's sister Linda, who is taking care of Mepunga Tully in WA.
"She's got early pace so fingers crossed she can jump and put herself out in front early."
Deadly Avenger, which is one of three greyhounds in the race for Steve Withers, is on the second line of betting at $3.50 after he drew the pole.
Recently crowned WA GOTY Miss Envy has box seven for the final and is at $4.40 in early betting.
Miss Envy returned to the track for the first time since early January when she won her heat in 29.58.

"It was an amazing effort (in the heat) and she should find a couple of lengths this week," said Steve Shinners, who trains the greyhound with his wife Krystal.
"She's not box dependent so I'm not unhappy with the draw.
"They won't come across on top of her early so she should get some room to get into the race."
Dual Group 1 winner Ethanol Water (box 3) is the early fancy for the Group 1 Galaxy (715m) at $2.80 despite having her colours lowered in her heat.
Black Silencer is second favourite at $3.50 after drawing box five.
