Barry Follows Proven Theme For Zara's Entity

MICHAEL Barry reports that his former star race bitch Zara's Entity has recently been mated to Barcia Bale ... a proven theme with the bitch's family.

MICHAEL and Maureen Barry report that their former star race bitch Zara's Entity has recently been mated to Barcia Bale … a proven theme with the bitch's family.

Victorian-based, the Barry's are justifiably proud of their bitch Zara's Entity (Mogambo-Girl Aloud by Spiral Nikita).

She raced 26 times for 10 wins and seven placings for $72,000 in stakes. She won the G3 Cranbourne Classic, was third in the G3 Speed Star and a finalist in the G1 Adelaide Cup and G3 Silver Bullet. She ran fast times wherever she raced including 29.27 and 34.01 at Sandown and 29.64 at The Meadows.

Her mother Girl Aloud is also the dam of Cut Loose Max (16 wins, $92,000), Evie's Entity (20 wins, $90,000), Zoenah's Entity (13 wins, $53,000), Alex's Entity (18 wins, $51,000), Roscoe's Entity (17 wins, $38,000), Darcy's Entity (11 wins, $38,000), Gambo Girl (9 wins, $36,000), Shaun's Entity (18 wins, $33,000) and Marley Girl (11 wins, $30,000) etc.

The proven worth of the Barcia Bale mating came via Girl Aloud's daughter Evie's Entity, who to Barcia Bale, produced star stayer Billy's Bake (24 wins, $174,000, G3 Chairman's Cup, multiple Group placed and finalist), Gotham Queen (19 wins, $34,000) and Erupt Eye Lad (19 wins, $32,000).

The mating of Barcia Bale-Zara's Entity brings in a 3×3 cross of the litter brothers Hallucinate and Where's Pedro balancing them via a daughter and a son. But, it also introduces Spiral Nikita who is found in the damline of Barcia Bale's champion son Dyna Double One.

Both Barcia Bale and Zara's Entity are in-bred to the famous brothers Walkabout Sid and Amerigo Man, and Amerigo Man and Bogenfel.

Zara's Entity has already produced a litter to Fernando Bale.

BRETT Gatt and his syndicate members had some thinking to do when their star stayer She Will Bloom retired recently and then promptly came on season.

He had a number of options, and semen lined up already, for the daughter of Turanza Bale x Kula Girl by Where's Pedro.

And, Brett finally settled on champion sire Fernando Bale for the bitch, going proven first. He will likely head with US star Jiminy Reno for her next mating.

What a great race bitch She Will Bloom proved to be running 40 times for 14 wins and 13 placings earning a few bucks under $100,000 in stakes.

She Will Bloom won the G3 Top Cat Video Cup, was third in the G3 Speed Star and a finalist at Group level in the WA Oaks, Speed Star again and Sydney Cup.

The mating to Fernando Bale was a natural. Most of his best progeny are hugely in-bred to the bloodlines of Fernando's mother Chloe Allen.

Chloe Allen and Turanza Bale are both by Primo Uno and both have Head Honcho close up in their damline, and trace directly to Gail's Beauty.

It's a recipe for success for the She Will Bloom mating.

Brett says he is unlikely to sell any.

WHEN Matt Johnson announced Poise had whelped to Barcia Bale a couple of days before Christmas, it didn't take long for interested buyers to put up their hand for pups.

Poise (Knocka Norris-Captivating) whelped five dogs and four bitches.

She was a fast winner at Sandown and The Meadows over 500m and 600m and was 2nd in the Healesville Oaks.

But, her crowning glory is the fact she was a Group 1 Sapphire Crown finalist during her race career which resulted in 15 wins and $53,000 in stakes.

She also comes from a litter of eight named offspring, ALL of them prolific winners.

AND, she just happens to be a half sister to superstar sprint bitch Black Opium (Black Magic Opal-Captivating) who has been second in the G1 Melbourne Cup, Australian Cup and Brisbane Cup and a finalist in the Easter Egg, National Sprint, Topgun and $1 million Chase.

Their dam Captivating is a sister to Jubilation the dam of star galloper Flynn (13 wins, $91,000) by Kinloch Brae, and also a sister to Velocity Shirl the dam of Qld star Velocity Bettina (9 wins, $50,000) by Zambora Brockie a 30.09 winner of the Ipswich Futurity and a multiple Group finalist.

No wonder Matt has been fielding calls already to buy those pups.

They are worth their weight in gold.

BEWILDERING has become popular with breeders in recent times especially after his close relation Get It Gizmo won the Topgun late last year.

He is the sire of a recent litter from Rockhill Kate (Velocette-Express Links by Kiowa Sweet Trey).

The mating has produced six dogs and five bitches and two dogs and three bitches are for sale. They were whelped in Queensland.

Rockhill Kate was a multiple winner at Richmond and Bathurst but dropped a back muscle which ended her career after only six starts.

But she boasts a real international flavour damline.

Her mother Express Links was brought to Australia from Ireland to race under Thomas O'Donovan back in 2012 and she won six races at Shepparton, Ballarat, Warragul, Bendigo and Geelong.

This is the damline of Airport Express, third dam of Rockhill Kate, who was a record breaker on the track and twice Irish broodbitch of the year.

Her third dam Exception is also the dam of the famous Fortress, which makes Rockhill Kate in-bred to Fortress and his half sister Gilded Mirror.

Sandro Bechini put together the mating and it is fabulous.

It brings in a cross of Collision and Velocette.

That former superstar race dog Fully Advanced was by Collision from Velocette's litter sister Okay Supreme. Fully Advanced was a finalist in the G1 Paws, G2 Horsham Cup and won the G2 Great Chase and Bill Collins Memorial.

NOTICED some recent matings that are very interesting, especially that by Aston Dee Bee with Miss Hanigan.

Owners of the bitch are none other than Jason and Seona Thompson who just happened to train Aston Dee Bee during his record-breaking and Group 1 winning race career.

Miss Hanigan (Fernando Bale-Te Amo by Cosmic Rumble) is a litter sister to G1 Nat Sprint winner West On Augie (37 wins, $432,000).

Miss Hanigan won 16 races and was placed 33 times for $43,000 in stakes.

Her litter won 120 races and $716,000 in stakes.

Fernando Bale daughters are fabulous for Aston Dee Bee to bring in the Goddess Of Fire/Awesome Assassin cross that produced champions Poke The Bear and Out Of Range … both Thompson stars.

Interestingly, the mating also duplicates Hallucinate 4×4.

Check out the pedigree of that sensational litter racing around Albion Park of late by Barcia Bale-Killara that includes multiple feature race and Group finalists like Kendall, What About It, Chelsea etc etc etc. They are in-bred to Hallucinate 3×3 along the direct damline on both sides of the pedigree.

QUEENSLAND breeder Wayne Scott has an interesting mating happening.

It is Aston Dee Bee to Farmor In Time (Above All-Farmor Karma by Knocka Norris).

Yes, it brings in a 3×3 of the famous G1 winning, track record-breaking littermates Elite Oriental and Knocka Norris.

And, it also introduces the Barcia Bale/Magic Sprite proven cross found in Fast Times and Start A Riot, both Group 1 stars.

Farmor In Time won nine races including a sub 30-seconds at Albion Park and came from a litter of six of which five were winners. They also included Farmor In Tune (14 wins, $33,000).
