Brother Jason Melbourne Bound For Launching Pad

BOOM sprinter Brother Jason will be flown to Melbourne on Monday to join Robert Britton in search of the rich Launching Pad series at Sandown.

WORM Burner's boom son Brother Jason will be flown to Melbourne on Monday to join the Robbie Britton kennel in search of the rich Launching Pad series at Sandown.

Breeder, owner and trainer Peter Sullivan said this today after the Worm Burner-Magic Kitchen dog continued his winning way since his return from injury with a scorching 19.51 win at Capalaba yesterday.

It was the dog's first race at Capalaba and he scored by three lengths over Scraping By with almost five lengths to Pale Ash in third.

Sullivan could not contain his excitement at the performance.

“To run that time at his very first start on the track … well it was something else,” he said.

“He'd had a couple of gallops up there in the past though.”

Brother Jason has now started six times for four wins and a second.

He suffered a hairline fracture of the hock back in November which needed time off.

“I brought him back hoping he would be right, but he was underdone for his return,” said Sullivan.

The dog won in 30.34 at Albion Park then followed that with a best of the night 29.83 last Thursday night.

“It convinced me he was right back to his best,” said Sullivan.

“I'd approached Robbie to give the dog his chance in the Launching Pad and he was very happy to take him on for me.”

Sullivan said a Melbourne owner had approached him after last Thursday night's 29.83 win with a $50,000 offer to buy the dog.

“He wanted him for the Launching Pad, but I told him I'd already knocked back $50,000 for him before he had even raced.”
