THE Coonamble October long weekend carnival has received a major boost with two key sponsors signing on for the famous four day event.

With last year’s Carnival a casualty of COVID-19 the club has been working feverishly behind the scenes to ensure the 2021 edition reaches its loftiest heights yet.

And with a flood of people already making arrangements to attend the famed Carnival, today’s announcement of two key sponsors signing on the dotted line is the first of what is expected to be a number of key announcements in the coming month.

“We’re excited to announce that for the first time this year we will stage the Coonamble Cup which will be sponsored by TVATi,” carnival organiser Kevin Gordon said.

“The series will be over 520 metres and be for greyhounds with between three to seven wins at the time. First prize will be $4000.

“I’ve had some great discussions with Sean Cahill at TVATi and the club couldn’t be more delighted in bringing him on as a sponsor.

“And while the club is thankful for the first time sponsorship of TVATi it is also wrapped to welcome back Garrard’s Horse & Hound as a sponsor once more.

“Their support in recent years has gone a long way to ensuring the event is the success it is and we extend a massive thanks to Daren Garrard for their ongoing support.”

TVATi’s sponsorship of the Coonamble carnival continues their whirlwind entry into greyhound racing with a number of success stories emanating from the use of the product which accelerates the healing of bone, cartilage and soft tissue injuries.

“We’ve been really keen to get involved and support the greyhound industry at grassroots level and I’ve been told that’s exactly what the Coonamble carnival is all about,” Cahill said.

“To be involved in a Carnival that means so much to the greyhound industry and has such a tradition is a big step forward for us and it will be a great opportunity to showcase our business even further.

“We see our involvement in the greyhound industry long term and to be able to sponsor the Coonamble carnival and give something back at this early stage is really important to the team at TVATi.”

The Carnival begins on Friday, October 1 and concludes with a massive day of finals action on Monday, October 4.
