Curt Lee Well Found By Punters

Speed machine Curt Lee has been one of the best supported runners in the lead up to Thursday night's Launching Pad semi-finals at Sandown Park.

Drawn to go around in the fourth semi-final for trainer Glenn Rounds, punters have warmed to the son of Fernando Bale on the back of last week's slashing 29.50 heat win where he flew early recording 5.05 to the post the first time.

Expected to be out in front again tonight, Curt Lee is quoted at $2.50, in from his $3.00 opening price earlier in the week.

Second in betting at $3.20 is Sennachie for Steve White, the unlucky heat runner (finishing fourth) a previous victor at the course in 29.42, while Charging Yaala ($5.50) and NSW visitor Double Back ($8.00) round out the other main hopes.

Favourite for the first semi-final is the Harry Manolitsis-trained star Flynn, punters rallying behind the star youngster after finishing a first up second at the course last Thursday.

Drawn suitably in two, the son of Kinloch Brae, who lowered Fernando Bale's Bendigo track record at just his fifth start, has been installed a $2.50 elect, ahead of Red Rocks for Steve White, a $3.50 chance on the back of last week's barnstorming 29.58 heat success.

While that pair dominate the market, chances are also given to the talented, yet enigmatic, Federal Impact at $6.00, while Seal The Deal for Anthony Azzopardi is quoted a $4.50 hope from box eight.

The second semi-final sees former SA galloper Tauwitchere look to replicate last week's victory which saw her set the benchmark from the heats, scorching early in 5.03 before running 29.42 for trainer Steve White.

If she repeats that effort the daughter of Dyna Double One will take a power of beating. Dolly Mac, a sister to Pindari Express, is her closest rival in betting at $3.90 while the inclusion of reserve Fancy Francene is interesting given she does possess a lot of early speed and is drawn in four, outside the main two in the market.

Semi-final three looks a great chance for Rockstar Prince to land another win, nicely boxed up in the red alley. He's got loads of ability and with the benefit of last week's outing, and the rails draw, can run a big race for backers.

While he's having no joy with box draws, Say Hi continues to raise the bar, winning his heat in 29.57, while Snags McKenzie has his share of talent and can turn in a performance in a race like this. There was a lot to like about his run finishing third behind a flying Curt Lee last week.
