THE aptly named Deliver did just that in Thursday night's Listed Maidment Memorial (595m) at Sandown Park, leading all-the-way in the $15,000 to-the-winner feature for trainer Seona Thompson.

Winner of the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic at Wentworth Park last November, Deliver made full use of box one in Thursday night's middle distance event, defeating Dyna Chancer by three lengths in a scorching 33.95.

Thursday night's success took the son of Fernando Bale's overall record to 11 wins from the 22 starts, boasting prizemoney of $129,000, with a berth in the upcoming Group 1 Rookie Rebel (600m) at The Meadows now all but a formality.

The other feature of the night – the Australia Day Sprint (515m) – was won by the Correy Grenfell-trained Orson Allen, swooping down the outside to claim the $15,000 first prize over runner-up Blue Giant by a neck in 29.65.

In a muddling event, where any of six runners looked capable of winning turning for home, it was the son of Kc And All and Desalle Bale that prevailed, continuing his exceptional recent form for connections, with a tilt at the upcoming Group 1 Australian Cup Series right on track.
