Classy Wyndra “Vulnerable” Ahead Of Return

DANIEL Gatt says exciting prospect Wyndra All Class will be vulnerable when she returns from a break on Saturday night at Wentworth Park.

Thirlmere trainer Daniel Gatt says his exciting prospect Wyndra All Class will be vulnerable when she returns from a break in Saturday's Non-Graded 520 metre race at Wentworth Park.

The white and brindle daughter of super stud dog Fernando Bale has been out of action since she recorded her fifth straight win at the Glebe circuit on November 26.

"She just had a little setback, she strained a wrist and it forced me to give her a few weeks off," Gatt said.

"It probably worked out ok for her to have a freshen-up because we have our sights on a few races in the New Year."

Three consecutive Saturday victories during November have seen Wyndra All Class rocket through the grades and this Saturday she finds herself resuming from a break in top grade against the likes of proven free-for-all chasers Zipping Alabama and Simply Limelight.

"I rate every other dog in the field and she's only had two trials back so I feel she may be half a run short on Saturday," Gatt said.

"She is well boxed in the middle of them in four but stepping up against some very good free-for-all dogs, she'll need to do everything right and even then she might be a sitting shot.

"This is the run she's going to need."

Wyndra All Class only last month turned two years old and is the winner of eight from 13 starts, making her one of the best prospects in New South Wales.

"It's hard to say just how good she is because she just keeps improving and improving and improving," Gatt said.

"She's always had the ability, don't get me wrong but she just keeps lifting the bar.

"When they improve as she has it's impossible to know where the ceiling is."

FIELDS AND FORM WENTWORTH PARK SATURDAY NIGHT

Wyndra All Class is the big gun in Gatt's boutique kennel which currently has 10 dogs in work and her first Group 1 test is just three weeks away.

"All things being equal the Futurity is her target race," Gatt said.

"It's been in our sights for a few months now and that's why we want to kick her off on Saturday night."

The National Futurity is a race for bitches whelped on or after October 1, 2020 worth $75,000 for the winner.

The heats are at Wentworth Park on January 13 with the final run eight days later.
