Galaxy Duo Has White Group 1 Dreaming

TRAINER Corey White takes on this year’s Group 1 WA Galaxy (715m) at Cannington with a two-pronged attack, amazingly for the second year running.

COREY White takes on Saturday night's Group 1 WA Galaxy (715m) at Cannington with a two-pronged attack, for the second year running.

He takes on the decider, worth $125,000-to-the-winner, with heat winner Flaws and Sins (My Bro Fabio-Ella Enchanted) and heat runner-up Miss Ronnie Mac (Zack Monelli-Moto Doll).

Miss Ronnie Mac and Argyle Queen made the race in 2024 for White.

This year's finalists are from different worlds.

"I bred Miss Ronnie Mac, raced her mum Moto Doll and raced her mother Flying Sienna," White said.

"She is from a litter of five, but unfortunately I lost three of the pups. Miss Ronnie Mac and her sister Pepper Grinder have been fantastic."

Corey was happy with Miss Ronnie Mac's run to chase home Minnie Finn's Might Have Been in her heat.

"She was closing on the winner again at the finish," he said.

Flaws And Sins has been in WA since August last year, sold to a new owner by Victorian Dallan Klemke who also has litter sister Full Of Regrets in the Galaxy final.

"The then new owner only had Flaws And Sins for a month and said he was going to advertise her for sale again," White said.

"He offered her to me for a reasonable price so I bought her."

Flaws And Sins has since won four races and takes on the Galaxy final after beating superstar Ethanol Water.

"I went into the heat not expecting to win with Flaws And Sins," White added.

"It was easily the toughest of the heats, a few smart Victorians and Urbanity, from the Paul Stuart kennel, who had trialled a record leading up to the heat.

"But she led and held on really well.

Flaws And Sins winning her Group 1 Galaxy heat

"Her 700 metre times have been coming down with every run here. She had to run a PB to win the heat, but she did it."

White says the class of Ethanol Waters stands out in the Galaxy final.

"Might Have Been was a great run to win his heat over 700 metres for the first time," he said.

"So we will find out if that is going to flatten him or improve him. He is from a family of great stayers though."

White gives both his bitches a great chance of spearing up near the lead.

"They can run around the low 5.50s for their first section and then 15.80 to 15.90 for the 300 metres and only top sprinters run that sort of time,” he said.

"That can put my girls right up near the front in the final."
