ONE set of connections will see in 2023 in style with the Incapacitated At Stud Cup (520m) to be staged at Wentworth Park on Friday, December 30.

Two years on from Incapacitated's resounding victory in the Group 3 Christmas Shootout at Wentworth Park, Tess Simmons and Justin King have teamed up with the NSW GBOTA for the $10,000-to-the-winner series.

Open to fifth grade greyhounds, 520 metre heats will be staged on Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24,) before the final is run and won the following Friday (December 30) where a cool $10,000 awaits winning connections.

The victor will also take home a free service to the multiple group race winner.

"Wentworth Park was the scene of some of his biggest wins so to run a race, especially around Christmas, is perfect," the dog's trainer Justin King said.

"We've been getting some good interest from breeders and with some litters of our own it's great watching his pups furnish into really nice types.

"I just want to say thank you to the GBOTA for their support in helping us put this race on as well. Hopefully it brings together some terrific fields for great prizemoney."

Winner at 24 of his 59 starts, Incapacitated (Sh Avatar x Subway To Venus) enjoyed a sensational career, winning a Group 2 Richmond Derby and a Group 3 Christmas Shootout.

As strong as he was talented, another career highlight was his grand second to Wow in the 2021 Gosford Gold Cup in near track record time.
