Joyce Ready For Winter Rumble

Steve Kavanagh is no newcomer to Group 1 finals and he believes Joyce Rumble (Cosmic Rumble-Dulcinea) has a great chance in this week's final.

He said this after she had won her heat last week ploughing through a strong mist to win in 29.99 by almost four lengths over luckless Benali and Bubble Guppy.

“She's won 16 races now,” said Steve. “So she's a pretty good bitch. And she's broken 30 seconds here about five times now.”

Kavanagh believes the bitch's chance of winning this week's final will rest on the early speed she possesses.

“But, she will need every bit of it against Mepunga Blazer in the final,” he said.

“In fact, she will need really serious traffic behind her to hold him out.”
