Ladbrokes customers that place a bet in the semi-finals of the Flight To The Phoenix semi-finals at Wentworth Park on Saturday night will be in the running to win up to $75,000 when The TAB Phoenix is run and won on December 18.

Four semi-finals of the series this weekend will lead into the final the following week where the winner will be off to The Meadows on Saturday, December 18 to contest the $1.145m The Phoenix, representing the slot powered by Ladbrokes and the NSW GBOTA.

On Thursday, Ladbrokes, long time sponsors of the GBOTA, announced that it will be offering one lucky customer the chance to secure virtual ownership of the successful greyhound and vie for up to $75,000 in cash prizes.

“Ladbrokes has today launched an exciting competition which will give one Ladbrokes customer the chance to win $75,000 in the initial running of The TAB Phoenix in December,” Ladbrokes Executive Director of Corporate Development Karl deKroo said.

“Ladbrokes is a huge supporter of innovation, and The Phoenix is a great concept.

“GBOTA and Ladbrokes have been strong partners for many years, and we are thrilled to support not only the Phoenix concept, but also the Ladbrokes Flight to the Phoenix series to ultimately determine which dog wins the ‘Golden Ticket’.

“The missing link had been allowing our punters to really feel part of it and what a great thrill for one of them to now get the chance to be an owner for a night, hopefully walk away with a big cash prize right on the eve of Christmas.”

Saturday night’s semi-finals feature greyhounds the caliber of Zipping Kyrgios, Good Odds Cash, Pay Call, Ebby Infrared and Sound Of Silence.

The lucky competition winner will land $75,000 if the Ladbrokes and GBOTA slot holder wins The Phoenix with $10,000 up for grabs for second, $7,000 for third and $5,000 for fourth through to last.
