GOOD Odds Harada has been installed the $2.30 favourite for next week's Beteasy sponsored Group 1 Megastar Final following a blistering heat victory on Thursday night.

Stepping out in the $75,000 to-the-winner series after a solid Victorian campaign, the Million Dollar Chase winner was at his brilliant best at Dapto on Thursday night, running away with the fourth and final heat in 29.64, defeating Jimmy Casey by 4 3/4 lengths.

Time honours on Thursday night went the way of Neil Staines' exciting juvenile Lightning Vision, the son of Kinloch Brae navigating his way off a tricky box six draw to score in a sizzling 29.63.

Showing terrific race sense at his first outing in open class company, the hugely talented youngster has drawn awkwardly in box seven for next week's final, making his task all the more difficult.

The opening heat went the way of the Peter Lagogiane-trained Double Back, the son of Dyna Double One heavily supported when securing victory in 29.78.

The third qualifier saw Victorian trainers Keith and Lisa Hellmuth maintain their unbeaten Dapto record when Group 1 Peter Mosman Opal winner Start A Riot saluted in 29.89.

Thursday night was just the third time the Hellmuths had raced at Dapto, their previous two appearances back in 2013 when their grand chaser Peter Rocket took out a prelude and final of the group 1 Megastar.
