Two Weeks Is Like Two Months To She's A Pearl

TWO weeks is like two months to She's A Pearl, according to Andy Lord.

And that is why the Million Dollar Chase and Golden Easter Egg winner is back in at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

This is despite the Lords, Andy and wife Jodie, declaring after the MDC victory she would have two months off racing.

The daughter of Aston Dee Bee and Shez Impetuous has drawn box two in a 520m FFA.

It is all but a procession.

“We had every intention of not racing her for a couple of months,” said Andy.

“But after one week she was right back to her best and by two weeks she needed to be back racing.

“That's why she is in on Saturday night.”

Andy said the bitch had freshened up so well after the 29.32 MDC victory he and Jodie were aware she could hurt herself around the kennels at home if she did not get back racing.

“It is hard to take a bitch like her out of racing mode,” said Andy.

“Stupid things can happen. I don't want to have to put a shield around her.

“Her shield is to let her race.”

Immediate plans for She's A Pearl are to contest the Nationals, the finals of which will be run at Wentworth Park where, at 29.30 she is the fastest female ever.

“Of course the Million Dollar Chase later in the year is her main target,” said Andy.

She's A Pearl, winner of 22 of her 32 race starts for stakes of $1.35 million, is already the $5 early favourite for the MDC with NSW TAB.
