BACK in late 2015, leading Queensland trainer Tom Tzouvelis prompted a syndicate of mates to buy the just retired Miss Lauryn.

The daughter of Surf Lorian and champion Queen Lauryn was being sold by owner Len Antonio who was never one to bother with the breeding industry, sticking with buying tried youngsters.

It was the best move Tom and his mates have made.

Last Sunday at Capalaba, Miss Lauryn's son Edelman (by Cosmic Rumble) downed littermate Top Odds to win the time honoured Michael Miller Memorial in 19.94 scoring by a nose only with three-quarters to Welge in third.

Miss Lauryn has been a goldmine for the syndicate with her first litter, by Magic Sprite, including Group class Brandi Alexander, She's Some Gal, Femme Folle etc.

Edelman, and his littermates, have just turned two with a huge future ahead of them.

"Miss Lauryn was a fabulous buy for us," said Tom. "Her progeny have won $345,000 with the promise of much more to come."
