Ned's Crafty Magic Maiden Preparations

Shayne Fleming's Magic Maiden hopeful Flash Mulcher gives us a peek at his crafty side in the lead up to Wednesday night's group 3 heats at Wentworth Park.

He's more boisterous than Ned Flanders, not as infamous as Ned Kelly yet more awake than Ned Devine is Ned "Fleming", the crafty youngster set to take his place in the last of the Group 3 Magic Maiden heats at Wentworth Park this Wednesday night.

Trainer Shayne Fleming has long targeted the Magic Maiden series at Wentworth Park for the long striding son of Kinloch Brae and given his antics in this video, perhaps it's a good thing he'll be contesting the final heat on Wednesday, given his penchant for hiding things!

His mum, Flash Earner, snared the Group 3 Ultra Sense at Wenty on Golden Easter Egg night in 2015 and there is a sense of timing with this bloke, quoted double figure odds for his debut appearance from box eight on Wednesday.

As this video shows, with the fluffy pink ‘lure' firmly in his keeping, Ned ducks off to a ‘neutral corner' and, intently, starts digging. Once covered, he happily departs, satisfied with a job well done.

Ned's racing name is Flash Mulcher, a litter brother to the speedy Sir Duke and Charlow, doing good things for trainer Ray Webster.

For the night owls, Ned (Flash Mulcher) is well worth a ticket in the tenth and final event at Wentworth Park this Wednesday night, more than capable of giving his backers a decent run for their money.
