Group 1 Perth Cup Heats Released

THE heats for the Group 1 Sky Racing Perth Cup (520m) have been released.

Six heats of the $150,000 to-the-winner event will be staged at Cannington this Saturday night, with some of the notable interstate entries Group 1 Australian Cup winner Dyna Patty, Horsham Cup champ Orson Allen, Brisbane Cup winner Hasten Slowly and big race performer Miss Splendamiro.

Three heats of the Group 1 Galaxy for the stayers will also be run and won on Saturday night, where the appearance of champion chaser Tornado Tears is the highlight.

Capping off his Galaxy preparations with a track record breaking 600m trial at Cannington last Saturday night, Tornado Tears has drawn box seven in the first of the heats, where he'll go around rock bottom odds.

Tornado Tears is looking to follow in the footsteps of his brother Rippin' Sam, winner of the Group 1 Galaxy in 2018.
