Pint-Sized Frankie Leads Chief Havoc Charge

SHE might be only 24kgs, but Red Hot Frankie looms large as the one to beat in Sunday's Chief Havoc Cup final (527m) at Gunnedah.

She was blistering when winning her heat on Sunday night in 30.32 by almost eight lengths at her first look at the track for trainer Jack Smith.

The daughter of Feral Franky and Little Nangar downed Jeanie Cargo and Go Bears.

“It was her first look at the track so she won't go much better in the final,” said Jack.

“But she is drawn to suit and will be hard to beat.”

She came out of the three in her heat win.

Red Hot Frankie is raced by a syndicate of seven headed by Jack's wife Maree's niece Bianka Jacobson a school teacher at Cobar.

“I bought four of the litter from Dennis Barnes and Bianka and her friends wanted one,” said Jack.

“Bianka came out and picked this bitch herself.”

The win took her record to 32 starts for 13 wins and 10 placings for stakes of $63,000.

She has already won in 29.64 around Wentworth Park.

Jack will leave the five-hour drive from Forbes to Gunnedah to his wife Maree.

“I headed up to Albion Park last Thursday so that was enough driving for me,” he said.

Craig Chappelow's Group pair I'm Loving It and Embrace again make a feature race final together.

I'm Loving It came of his favoured rails draw to win his heat of the Cup in 30.45 but he has been done no favours in the final drawing the six.

He downed the fast finishing Street Of Dreams to win by a length and a half with Hurricane's Fury in third.

Scott Board's classy Spring Patriot ran 30.52 to down Canya Smurfette and Chappelow's Embrace in the other heat and he has come up with a perfect draw in the rails in the final.

Embrace, too, is drawn perfectly in the seven with slow early Street Of Dreams drawn outside her.
