Power And Glory Primed For Group Breakthrough
KEN Burnett believes it’s his turn for a change in fortune when speed machine Power And Glory heads to Temora on Sunday for the Temora Cup.

TRAINER Ken Burnett believes it's his turn for a change in fortune when speed machine Power And Glory heads to Temora on Sunday for the Group 3 Ladbrokes Temora Cup Final (457m).
Power And Glory tackles the 457 metre country cup chasing his first feature race win after coming up short in a handful of rich finals during his 24 start career.
"He's a dog that hasn't had the best of luck with box draws when he's made finals and on paper that's the case again on Sunday," Burnett said.
"In saying that I think the adversity the dog has suffered because of those draws can be turned into a positive as we look ahead.
"I think he's become a much better race dog now and we have some big plans for him in the next six months."
Earlier this month when preparing to return after almost 90 days on the sidelines, Power And Glory's deeds lit up social media platforms when his trial ticket from a Wentworth Park post-to-post was published online showing 23.38 seconds with a run home of 11.19.
"There's no doubt he's got stud dog ability," Burnett said.

"He holds the Bulli 472m track record and dogs like Barcia Bale and Aston Dee Bee are former record holders there.
"I reckon if everything aligns the Wentworth Park record might be within his reach too but time will tell."
First things first, Power And Glory is chasing the $40,000-to-the-winner prize in Sunday's country feature.
His heat time of 25.42 makes him the fastest qualifier and he will again exit from a mid-draw in the final, having to overcome box five.
"I actually don't mind the draw for him on Sunday," Burnett said.
"He likes to use a bit of the track and I also think things have fallen our way a bit with where other dogs are boxed so hopefully that's how it plays out and he gets left alone for the first few strides.
"I think he's the fastest dog in the race on Sunday so hopefully this time a few things go his way when the lids open."
After Sunday's final, Burnett's focus will switch back to Wentworth Park where his sights are on the heats of the Group 1 Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg on March 29.
