FORM PREVIEW: Thursday Night Best Bets

GROUP 1 racing makes its way to the south coast of New South Wales this Thursday night with Dapto playing host to four heats of the Beteasy sponsored Megastar.

Headline act for the $75,000 to-the-winner series is Million Dollar Chase winner Good Odds Harada, set to take his place in heat four from box three as the warm $1.85 favourite.

Queensland's premier distance chaser and expect he justifies his short $1.80 quote over the 600 metres. Returned from a Victorian campaign with a thumping 710m victory last week and with an outstanding 600 metre record, expect his class shines through in very quick time.

DAPTO – Race 5 (8.37pm) Number 2, DOUBLE BACK

High calibre chaser that's got sizzling early burn and from the cushy draw on Thursday night expect he gives a great sight at decent odds. Finished second at his first Dapto start last week but will be all the better for the hit-out and he looks to meet some of his more fancied opposition at a decent time in this series. In with a big show.

DAPTO – Race 7 (9.21pm) Number 2, START A RIOT

Classy Victorian which makes her Dapto debut but don't see that as a setback. Can run sizzling times and can do it at both ends of her races. Is a group 1 winner at Wentworth Park earlier in the year and is drawn to get every chance to drive through and find the front. Class edge.

HOBART – Race 7 (9.49pm) Number 5, PRANCING TURBO

Former Victorian chaser that's having his second local Tassie start for Blake Pursell. Generally shows terrific box speed and dropping back in class for this after contesting a heat of the Devonport Chase last week, expect he gives backers a really good sight. Should be suited to the wide open spaces at Hobart.

SANDOWN – Race 12 (11.00pm) Number 8, TOURELLO

Hugely talented chaser that's been in superb form over the 595 metres in recent times. Drops back to the 515m for this assignment which is of some concern but I like the box eight draw for him and with clear air mid-race, expect he sprouts wings late and lands the prize. $4 early doors looks attractive in what's a relatively quiet race.
