Price Increase For In Demand Sire

ONE of Australia's most in demand stud dogs has had a service fee increase on the back of a sensational first 18 months with his progeny.

ZAMBORA Brockie, the shooting star of the Australian stud ranks, will rise to $4,400 from August 1.

The multiple group 1 winning sprinter has enjoyed a remarkable start to his stud journey, unearthing a flurry of top class performers right around the country.

And it's that significant early success that's seen demand go through the roof, sparking a flood of interest for the son of Nitro Burst at stud which has forced the pending price rise.

"We can't keep up with the demand," Sires On Ice's Tony Wiseman said.

"The decision to increase his fee is about trying to manage the workload for the dog more than anything else. We can only service bitches on season and that's even proving difficult now.

"We are hugely thankful to everyone that is supporting the dog and have no doubt he'll repay that faith as his early results are showing."

So far in 2020, Zambora Brockie offspring have won 215 races from just 912 runners at a cracking strike-rate of 24 percent.

Included in that progeny is Saturday night's Group 1 Maturity Classic hopeful Zambora Smokey, the Warrnambool Cup winner a stylish heat winner last weekend.

"It's been great to get reports recently that he's throwing some really nice sized litters as well," Wiseman added.

"Coming into the breeding season we are trying to get into a position where we can manage him and look after all breeders wanting to use him."

Breeders with bitches by Barcia Bale and Magic Sprite are proving hugely popular with Zambora Brockie as are bitches which have Brett Lee in their pedigree.

"He's clicking with just about every line," Wiseman added.

"I just want to say thank you again to everyone supporting the dog. This decision has been forced upon as much as anything."
