TORNADO Tears capped off his Group 1 Sky Racing Galaxy preparations with a track record lowering trial over the 600m at Cannington on Saturday night.

TORNADO Tears capped off his Group 1 Sky Racing Galaxy preparations with a track record lowering trial over the 600m at Cannington on Saturday night.

Sending an ominous warning to those that dare take on the champion son of Fernando Bale in the $100,000 to-the-winner series, which begins at Cannington this weekend, Tornado Tears covered the journey in 34.48, a fraction quicker than Petunia Monelli's 34.49 track record.

On a night where a number of Perth Cup and Galaxy aspirants were put through their paces, the talented Equilibrium trialed over the 600 metres  clocking 35.08, while Victorian Hasten Slowly recorded 29.89 over the 520 metres, just 24 hours on from being crowned Queensland Greyhound Of The Year for 2018.

Australian Cup winner Dyna Patty confirmed she's right on track for an assault on a second straight group 1 title after running her rivals ragged in a prelude of the Perth Cup, posting a brilliant 29.56.

The Galaxy Prelude went the way of Moment To Jive for Sarah Appleton in 42.09, rounding off her preparations leading into Saturday night's Galaxy heats where she of course takes on the might and power of Tornado Tears.
