RQ Reveal Prizemoney Updates for The Q
RACING Queensland has updated prizemoney levels as part of the imminent transition to racing at the new The Q three-track complex.

RACING Queensland has updated prizemoney levels as part of the imminent transition to racing at The Q.
The levels will remain in place for the remainder of the 2025 financial year, but will be reviewed prior to the 2026 financial year.
The introduction of an additional City Class race meeting each week at The Q will double metropolitan racing.
To accommodate this expansion, Provincial prizemoney will be equal to Class 3 prizemoney, and City prizemoney has been adjusted slightly downward.
The overall prizemoney budget remains the same.
Further details regarding specific prizemoney levels for all distances and grades of racing are available on the RQ website.
Premier trainer Tom Tzouvelis praised the introduction of another city race meeting each week.
"Yes, it's great that we are better off with two city meetings now, but we would also like to know what will happen to the feature races, something that has not been mentioned," he said.
Tzouvelis is not a fan of the new grading system saying he believed it is "basically the NSW system" which he believes is far from perfect.
"And, I've approached Racing Queensland to have the distance categories reviewed," he added.
