BRILLIANT Tassie stayer Wynburn Ruby is on her way towards next week's Group 1 Sportsbet Sandown Cup (715m) at Sandown Park following an impressive 599m solo trial in Hobart on Thursday night.

Following the trial, Wynburn Ruby firmed from $16 all the way into $8 for the $250,000 Sandown Cup series which gets underway with heats next Thursday.

She sits on the second line of betting with Ladbrokes The 715 winner Zipping Orlando, Punters Bandit, Tiger Jack, Cawbourne Magic and Moraine Suzie.
