SIMON Told Helen has been installed favourite for next week's Group 1 Harrison-Dawson following a breathtaking 29.21 heat victory on Thursday night.

SIMON Told Helen has been installed favourite for next week's Group 1 Harrison-Dawson Final (515m) following a breathtaking 29.21 heat victory at Sandown on Thursday night.

And while his winning time was a length outside the remarkable 29.14 recorded by Jax Bale in heat two, a box three draw for next Thursday's $50,000 to-the-winner final has seen the son of Barcia Bale installed a $2.20 favourite in his quest for a third group 1 title.

Returning to Sandown Park following his courageous last start second to Zambora Smokey in the Warrnambool Cup , Simon Told Helen was simply sublime for trainer David Burnett, producing his devastating speed to defeat runner-up Short Pork by five lengths.

Rattling the clock in heat two was Allen Deed pup Jax Bale for Andrea Dailly, the exciting youngster proving too slick for favourite Tiggerlong Tonk which qualified for next week's final with his second placing.

The pair, drawn boxes six and seven respectively for the final, have been installed $3.40 equal second elects for next week's final, their chances somewhat hindered by the wide draws.

The opening Harrison-Dawson heat went the way of Vivatar for Matt Lanigan, the son of Barcia Bale drawing the prized rails alley for next week's finale.
