BOOM young sprinter Slick Badger, for which an offer of $100,000 has been refused, will head to Victoria next week for a tilt at the Shepparton Classic (450m).

Breeder and owner Steve Kemp said this today.

Slick Badger (Aston Rupee-Dancin' Ethics) was super impressive again on Sunday night when winning a graded race at Bulli in 26.23 over another hot prospect in Cool Junior.

It was his seventh win in nine starts for trainer Shane Pulbrook.

"Shane has picked out the race at Shepparton next Monday for him," Kemp said.

"It means we will probably have to take him to Victoria for a trial after the races at Shepparton on Thursday.

"And, then he will go into the heats of the Classic the following Monday."

The Classic final will be run on March 3 and is worth $10,000-to-the-winner.

"It's age restricted and that suits us at this stage," he added.

While Slick Badger is building a huge reputation, Steve is just as happy with the following litter from Dancin' Ethics (Barcia Bale Red Sox Ethics).

They are 12 months old, four dogs and two bitches, by group 1 superstar Amron Boy.

"I believe it is the very first litter sired by Amron Boy," Kemp added.

"And, we would not sell any … they are such magnificent pups.

"There is a white and black dog who is a replica of Slick Badger in build and temperament."

Steve has been in greyhound racing for 12 years but admits his first decade was taken up learning the game with giveaways.

"We have bred only two litters," he said.

"Slick Badger is from the first and this Amron Boy litter is the next.

"As soon as I heard Amron Boy was retiring, I rang Brooke Ennis and order a straw."

Amron Boy (Zambora Brockie-Miami Fernando) won 23 races for stakes of $674,000. He was a winner at Sandown in a scorching 29.00, 29.07 (twice) and 29.10, 29.55 at Albion Park, and at The Meadows in a near record 29.45.

He won the G1 Silver Chief beating his litter brother Amron Dan, the G1 Harrison-Dawson and G3 Sandown Showdown.

He was second in a The Phoenix, G1 Temlee, G2 Flying Amy Classic, G3 Sandown Showdown, 3rd in the Australian Cup Consolation, and a finalist in the G1 Maturity, G1 Topgun, G1 Paws Of Thunder, G1 Brisbane Cup, G1 National Sprint, G2 Cranbourne Cup.

His performance behind Wow She's Fast in The Phoenix was out of this world.

Breeders are raving about the quality of his first puppies.
