Sorority Leads Jedda's Two-Pronged 715 Assault

JEDDA Cutlack sends two of her team, one veteran and a youngster proving her worth, to the heats of The 715 at The Gardens on Friday night.

JEDDA Cutlack sends two of her team, one veteran and a youngster proving her worth, to the heats of The 715 at The Gardens on Friday night.

Sunburst (Sh Avatar-Sawadee) turns four in June and after an 80-start race career she is still racing in great form. She runs in the second heat of The 715 from box six.

Sorority (Konomi-Sherbini) has also drawn the six, in heat five, and she is a fast improving young stayer which downed Sunburst when winning over 710m at Albion Park last Thursday.

It was her ninth win in a 33-start career.

“I have six runners at Albion Park on Thursday night so Sunburst and Sorority will be taken to The Gardens by Tom (Tzouvelis),” said Jedda.

Both bitches had a run at The Gardens over 715m on April 14, Sorority finishing second to Punter's Bandit in a fast 41.45 with Sunburst fifth in the same race.

“Gee the heats are tough,” said Jedda.

“But, if Sorority runs up to her 41.56 at The Gardens two runs back she will be very hard to beat.

“I would have liked her better from a draw closer to the rails.

“We are very pleased with her and with the much improved Winter Carnival coming up at Albion Park, she will come home to some very big races for her.”

Sunburst and her littermates continue to defy their rising age.

“They are racing so well and even though they are approaching four they will keep racing while they are going so well,” she said.

Sunburst has been a marvel for the Cutlack kennel.

She is the winner of a Past Members Trophy at Ipswich but was second in an Ipswich Cup, third in a Winged Runner Trophy and a finalist in the Darwin Cup and Carnival Chase.

Sorority has been third in the Albion Park Gold Cup.

Their mothers are half sisters and stem from the famous Cheeky Sprite family that includes Queen Lauryn.
