THE Richmond straight track’s three most prolific winners will face off in an absorbing clash on Saturday morning.

Immensely talented trio Here Comes Joe, King Power and Funky Girl have each won six races up the Richmond straight, the largest win tally of any greyhound since the track got up and running in April.

And in the fifth event on Saturday morning the three hugely talented straight tracker’s will match motors in an engrossing race that brings together a sensational open grade field over the 324 metre journey.

Sitting up in the red is King Power for trainer Natalie MacDonald.

The son of Spring Gun, which recorded a fast 26.23 Bulli victory on Wednesday night, has won six of his nine starts up the Richmond straight with a 17.48 personal best.

Drawn box two is the immensely talented Here Comes Joe – his 10 Richmond straight track starts returning six wins and three thirds with a near record 17.36 best time.

Comeback galloper Ad Astra, a litter-brother to Wow, exits box four with his two return runs at Richmond resulting in a second followed by a flying 17.50 victory.

Sitting up in the six is 17.35 track record holder Cool Chevy Magic.

In six starts up the straight for trainer Alan Proctor he has scored on three occasions with a further two seconds.

And in box eight is Michael Stegnjaic’s Funky Girl which has made Richmond her own since the straight has opened, boasting six wins and five placings from her 11 starts.

Rounding out the field are capable types Finefeuiaki and Supersonic Blue which have also amassed fantastic Richmond records.

It’s a race well and truly worth tuning in for on Saturday morning where a track record run could be within the realms of possibility if conditions are in order.
