Star Youngster Ruled Out Of Million Dollar Chase

SIMPLY Limelight has been ruled out of the remainder of the TAB Million Dollar Chase series with injury.

The rising star suffered two broken metatarsals when finishing a heroic second to Good Odds Cash in the Group 1 National Sprint Grand Final (520m) at Wentworth Park last Saturday night.

Going into the weekend's $75,000-to-the-winner decider the son of Kinloch Brae had been in dynamic form, stringing together six sensational victories all in blistering times.

The Peter Rodgers-trained charge boasts nine wins from 21 starts for $81,000 in prizemoney.

Rodgers has long declared the 26-month old's future is over the staying journeys given his ability to reel off remarkable run home sectionals.

The injury is expected to keep Simply Limelight sidelined for at least the next two months.
