Ties That Bind To Step Out For New Kennel

CLASSY race bitch Ties That Bind will step out for her new kennel at Goulburn on Friday afternoon after recently being sold by Frank Hurst.

CLASSY bitch Ties That Bind has been purchased by Orange breeder Scott Board.

The daughter of Fernando Bale-Good Odds Meghan was bought from Frank and Tracey Hurst who had won 12 races and $75,000 with her.

She makes her debut for the new kennel in a heat of the Fireball (350m) at Goulburn on Friday.

“I've wanted to get into that damline for quite a while,” said Scott.

“I actually approached Frank when the bitch raced at Goulburn back in July but he wasn't ready to sell.”

Ties That Bind has won the Future Stars at Maitland, been second in the G3 Ladies Bracelet and a finalist in the G2 Maitland Cup, G2 Richmond Oaks, G3 The Ambrosoli and the Listed Bathurst Cup.

“I will give her a few starts while I'm waiting for the DNA and the pink card to come back before we breed with her,” said Scott.

“I've known Frank and Tracey for a long time and the bitch came to me in wonderful condition, as you would expect.

“She wasn't cheap, but how often can you buy a bitch like her with that sort of record and she has won at Wenty in 29.70 a couple of times.

“And, she's got good early pace, everything you want in a future broodbitch.”

Ties That Bind split webbing at her latest outing when winning at Richmond on July 31.

Board will now map out her future breeding career but is already leaning towards Aston Rupee.

Her mother Good Odds Meghan is a litter sister to stars Good Odds Harada and Feral Franky and Ties That Bind is bred on identical lines to Little Digger and his Group class litter.

It is the famed Solar Pak, Tifi, Chili Berger and Alice Dooley damline.

It is also the very same damline as Million Dollar Chase winner Mcinerney and Masters Meteor winner Fire Legend.
