Scarlatti Leads Jedda's Silver Dollars Charge

ALL hands on deck ... that's the call from Park Ridge trainer Jedda Cutlack as she unleashes an onslaught on the Molly Campbell Silver Dollars.

ALL hands on deck … that's the call from Park Ridge trainer Jedda Cutlack as she unleashes an onslaught on the Molly Campbell Silver Dollars heats (520m) at Albion Park on Thursday night.

Jedda has four runners in each of the two heats of the series, and training partner Tom Tzouvelis has another.

“We have a pretty good team of handlers and catchers who help out,” said Jedda.

“But we might need to call on a few newcomers this week.”

FIELDS AND FORM ALBION PARK THURSDAY NIGHT

Jedda plumped for Scarlatti, the unbeaten daughter of Superior Panama and Sherbini as her best hope in the series.

She has started raging hot favourite in her two wins, a maiden in 30.16 and Novice in 30.27 at Albion Park, scoring by big margins after leading throughout.

“She is probably the best of them in the series,” said Jedda.

“We expect her to be a sub-30 second bitch there eventually, but at the moment she is very raw.

“Probably in 10 runs, we will see the best of her. She did not get a lot of trialling going into her first couple of starts.

“She had a problem splitting the back of a toe that needed restitching a couple of times.

“But, she is a very good prospect.”

Scarlatti comes up against another of the kennel, I'm Old School (Superior Panama-Show Me Confetti), which is also unbeaten in a maiden heat and final at Ipswich and a Novice at Albion Park.

Jedda trains him for Michael and Michelle Jones of My Bro Fabio and Super Estrella fame.

“He is going fantastic, but he rocks in the boxes,” she said.

“It's a worry, but we are confident he will get over that with more racing.

“He too is very green, a big puppy at the moment. He improved out of sight when he got to 500 metres.

“It looks as though his best will come when he gets to more distance.”

Jedda's kennel favourite, Tagovailoa (Maurice Minor-Del Ray), comes out of the red in the second heat of the Silver Dollars.

“He's already wanting to get to 600 metres,” said Jedda.

“We took him to Capalaba for his latest run to sharpen him up and have freshened him up as well.”

He comes up against Col Graham's boom youngster King Of Aces (Hooked On Scotch-Distant Star) which is coming off two Thursday night wins at Albion Park the latest in 29.95.

“Col's dog has been very impressive in those two wins,” said Jedda.

“And he's got a good bit of early dash.”
