Wait Over With Trials To Start At ‘The Q' On Tuesday
THE wait is finally over with trialling at the state of the art The Q to commence this week much to the anticipation of Queensland owners and trainers.

TRIALLING at The Q will start this week.
The Q, tipped to be the greatest greyhound racing complex the world has seen, will have its first trial session from 3-9pm on Tuesday.
Trials will then be conducted on Wednesday from 7am-3pm and Friday at the same time.
Racing Queensland has stipulated that for a nomination to be accepted for racing at The Q, a dog will need to undergo a "transition trial".
"Fan indefinite condition of nomination will be introduced requiring a greyhound nominated for an event at The Q to have successfully trialled out of the starting boxes to the satisfaction of QRIC stewards and/or Qld Greyhound Racing Club officials at the specific track for which it its to be nominated.
"A satisfactory pre-nomination trial at The Q requires that a greyhound completes the following:
– Jumps from a starting box approved by Stewards/QGRC official
– Runs past the finishing post
– Enters the catching pen"
If a greyhound has successfully trialled at only Q1 Lakeside, it is only eligible to be nominated for and compete in an event at Q1 Lakeside.
*Certain events may be exempt from this condition at RQ's sole discretion.
Commissioning trial sessions will be available for participants free of charge, whilst the transitioning of racing occurs.
The first sessions are scheduled to start on Tuesday. Commissioning trial sessions are not open to the public and only essential personnel are permitted to attend.
Following the commissioning trial period, picnic meetings are scheduled to take place at The Q.
Picnic meetings are scheduled to commission all facilities and assist participants and officials in becoming familiarised with the venue prior to the first official race meetings being held.
Following the successful completion of trials and picnic meetings,
The first official race meeting is tentatively planned at Q1 Lakeside on Friday, April 4.
