WEEK 8: TAB WINGS NIGHT

IT's Week 8 of the Tab's Wings Night Promotion with some terrific offers available across what's a big night of greyhound racing, headed by an outstanding 12 race card at Sandown.

WHEN it comes to greyhound racing, it doesn't get any better than this!

Sandown Park plays host to 12 cracking races tonight with four heats of three Group 1 races, the Sandown Cup for the stayers, featuring champion Tornado Tears, along with qualifiers of the Harrison-Dawson for the boys and Sapphire Crown for the girls.

On a champagne night of greyhound racing action, the TAB is back with some terrific incentives, with the ‘Early Bird Special', offering enhanced fixed odds prices (110%) between 5pm and 7pm well worth getting involved in, especially if you're keen on something on a huge card of racing out of Sandown Park.

We are into Week eight of the TAB's Thursday ‘Wings' Night, and given the attractive nature of the products, Tab will continue rolling out the offers each Thursday until the end of June.

As well as all the action at Sandown tonight, specials are on offer at Albion Park, Angle Park and Dapto also, with form previews for the enhanced multi combinations available below.

For both retail and digital customers, bonus bets of up to $50 will be rewarded for greyhounds that finish second and third in races one and two across Sandown, Dapto and Albion Park, while for those in retail venues in NSW, ACT and Victoria, that offer will be extended out to races three and four as well.

As we mentioned at the top of the preview, retail and digital customers can again take advantage of Tab's ‘Early Bird Special', with fixed odds prices for all races at Sandown, Dapto, Angle Park and Albion Park enhanced between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, with markets framed to a juicy 110%.

For week eight of Wings Night, the TAB returns with more enhanced multi prices, as well as markets for how many races ‘the wings' (boxes one and eight) will win at the four respective venues, an offer available at retail outlets only.

Just another reminder, Angle Park recently moved to six-dog racing for May and June, so with the reduced field numbers, the chances of one and eight saluting obviously increases!

For those using EBT's in-venue, these offers can be found in the sport section, under Racing Specials.

SANDOWN

$3.10 MULTI: Race 2 SENNACHIE into Race 9 DYNA PATTY

When it comes to current form and overall ability, it doesn't really get any better than this combination. The first leg is last week's rampaging Queensland Derby winner Sennachie, who draws box one for the first time tonight in his 15 start career. Has won two of four at Sandown and comes into tonight in red hot form. Will need to miss Notorious Mac who's drawn his outside early, but he's a dog on the way up and expect he gets the job done tonight. The second leg is Dyna Patty going around rock bottom odds off the red. Australian and Warrnambool Cup winner, who is back to her own sex tonight, should be far too classy for her opposition with the benefit of the gun draw. Won the Speed Star consolation around here last Sunday week in a blistering 29.00!

ANGLE PARK

$6.00 MULTI: Race 2 FLY FOR FUN into Race 8 BAILEY ROCKS

We've got a maiden event before us for the first leg which doesn't instil us with the greatest of confidence! Still, something has to win it. Fly For Fun went around odds-on at his debut last week finishing third. Expect the run to bring him on and moving from five to one should be enough to see him across the line. His trainer Lauren Harris has a top winning strike-rate but the lack of exposed form is a query. For the second leg, Bailey Rocks should make a fist of things off the pink. Has a fast 4.37 first split to her name, which would cross and lead this, and she has run a scorching 29.62 overall. If she runs up to that, will be winning this. First box eight draw in 16 starts tonight. Help or a hindrance? Let's see.

CONFIDENCE: 6/10

DAPTO

$5.50 MULTI: Race 5 WINNIE ALLEN into Race 8 DANDY DALE

Winnie Allen lines up for this strong final off her 30.04 heat win and the red does her plenty of favours. But the worry is the talented His Ticking drawn on her outside for in form trainer Mark Suttle. He won his heat in 30.01 overcoming an unusual slow start, and I think the price difference between the two ($1.75 / $4.00) early doors sees the checks as the overs. Expect one of the two to salute off their performances last week, and how the checks comes out is likely to decide the outcome. In the second leg, Dandy Dale has been out of the winners list for a while and his record from inside draws isn't flash. Been a grand campaigner and races well at Dapto, having the slow beginner Zipping Bronco drawn his outside is a plus. Is a winning chance but it's hard to be over confident.

CONFIDENCE: 7/10

ALBION PARK

$8.00 MULTI: Race 8 SAPHONI into Race 9 ABSOLUTELY FAB

Late start to the Albion Park multi with the first leg (race 8), Saphoni, drawn box one in a red hot 600m event. Won off this box two runs back in a fast 34.82 but to give you an idea, Infrared Lad, also in the race, covered the journey last start in 34.55! Box one is a huge advantage and she can run a quick first split, just needs to make use of the draw. Absolutely Fab had box eight here on Monday finishing down the track, her form is much better from inside draws and while she's not badly graded here for this tonight, I just can't come at her from the draw. 13 starts from 6,7,8 – for just the one win.

CONFIDENCE: 5.5/10

WINGS WINNERS!

At Retail Venues Only – the following prices are on offer for 4+ winners from boxes 1 & 8

ANGLE PARK – $1.80 (Recorder prediction – 5)
ALBION PARK – $4.00 (Recorder prediction – 4)
DAPTO – $4.00 (Recorder prediction – 3)
SANDOWN – $3.00 (Recorder prediction – 5)

It wouldn't surprise to see each of the four Wings offerings get up tonight with the Recorder predictions assessing Angle Park, Sandown and Albion Park on or above the 4 plus line. Dapto comes in at three, so the $4.00 on offer doesn't look bad odds either for a throw at the stumps.
