THE three-hour round trip that Duranbah-based trainer Trevor Wilson and son Wayne made last Friday to Casino paid off when Rally Dryva scored his first win at the Northern Rivers venue.

The son of Tomac Bale and Cosmic Dryva once again proved his infallible box one manners by overcoming the early speed of Cash Flow Joe to put six and a half lengths on his opponents crossing the finish line.

The 32kg dog ended up at the short price of $1.40 and ran a speedy best-of-day 23.37.

Rally Dryva has now notched five wins from seven starts out of the cherry, making his impressive record of 18 wins and 13 placings from 39 starts.

The Wilsons and owner Kerry Vardy would be pleased with the promise that the short courser has shown in the early stages of his career, having earned over $20,000 and only turning three in December.
