The formbook points to BOGEYMAN (trap 1) giving a solid account against these rivals and many will join in with his bid for victory. Greatwhitehunter (trap 3) is going to need some luck but certainly has the talent to go very close. Tammen Trent (trap 4) is a candidate for a medal, but he may have to settle for bronze.

Shelone Fawn (trap 5) has little margin for error but is certainly in with a big shout on the formbook. The outside trap may offer some assistance to Great Alliance (trap 6) and he can figure out wide.

NENE VALLEY (trap 5) has sound claims of walking off with the gold medal from this contest and he figures in the forefront of all calculations. If Up The Game (trap 1) ran up to his best he would probably get the job done, so he is rightly feared. Dublin Jimmy (trap 3) seemed to win with a bit to spare so shouldn't be disgraced.

RAVENSWOOD BIRDY (trap 1) should be highly motivated for this assignment and she gets a semi-confident vote to go about her business in fine fashion. Fiery Ring (trap 3) has been limbering up well in qualifying trials and could prove a hazard to the selection. Speed Wonder (trap 2) will launch a medal challenge, but may have to be satisfied with bronze.
