BOOM youngster Lochinvar Chase extended the winning start to his career to four with a breathtaking Maitland victory on Thursday afternoon.

Taking his place in a 400 metre fifth grade for the second straight Thursday, the son of Barcia Bale and Elcee Jay rattled the clock with a sublime 22.00 display, just two lengths outside Precious Sal's 21.87 track record.

A winner last Thursday by 10 ¾ lengths in 22.13 over the track and distance, it's expected trainer Robert Smith will shift his attention to the Goulburn Cup with the 21 month old sensation, with a tilt at the upcoming Group 3 series firmly on the agenda.
