Straight Track Star Shall Not Eyes Perfect 10

TRAINER Darren Sultana admits every time he talks to owner Terry Hill, he of rugby league greatness, "he is stoked" given the deeds of Shall Not.

DARREN Sultana admits every time he talks to owner Terry Hill, he of rugby league greatness, “he is stoked”.

Londonderry trainer Darren, Terry, and his mate George Kairouz, raced Richmond straight track superstar Mr America.

Now Darren and Terry combine with the latest Richmond straight tracker in Shall Not (Barcia Bale-Hillary) which on Saturday will head to Richmond coming off 10 starts up the straight for nine wins.

He has drawn box seven against a smart field in a top grade event.

“And, I reckon he should be unbeaten there,” said Darren.

“He was a bit stiff to be beaten on debut there.”

Shall Not has already run 17.18 just a “tick” outside Mr America's track record of 17.11.

And Darren has pleased Terry Hill no end by claiming Shall Not is a better race dog than Mr America, the winner of the National Straight Track Championship at Richmond and the Straight Of Origin at Capalaba.

He made a host of feature race finals.

“Mr America would crash to the rails to get behind the arm,” said Darren. “This dog goes straight and once clear, then he comes over to get behind the lure.

“Terry is absolutely stoked with the way he is going.”

Darren took Shall Not to Bulli for a trial not long after he arrived in his kennels early in the year and while he went well, he tore a toenail off in the run.

That's when he went to Richmond and with the dog going so well, he has stayed there.

“The Straight Of Origin will be coming up at Capalaba so that must be his target,” said Darren.

“But, in the meantime I'll keep Terry happy by hopefully keep winning up Richmond.

“The seven box on Saturday will not worry him.”
